Are rental prices decreasing in Bangalore?
India’s Silicon City.. Most people in Bangalore come from neighboring states and live in rented houses. People from other states come to Bangalore for various purposes like employment, education, business, etc. and rent houses in the city. People are coming to Bangalore not only from other states but also from abroad and settling in Bangalore. This has created a huge demand for rented houses in Bangalore. With this, homeowners are earning lakhs of rupees by renting out their houses. Since the rents are also high, they have reaped a harvest of profits.
However, now the situation has changed. Are rental prices decreasing in Bangalore? The answer is yes, the netizens are asking on social media. Netizens are saying that the situation in Bangalore is completely changing now. They are saying that the rental prices in the city are very low now. One of the main reasons for the decrease in rental prices is that all the construction projects that were postponed after the Corona pandemic are now being completed. Many apartments that were postponed between 2020-2023 are now fully ready for occupancy.

This has led to a huge increase in the supply of rental houses in key areas of Bangalore. There are also some other reasons.
Due to lack of clarity in jobs, low salary increases, and uncertainty over job security, many employees are looking for a house with low rent. Most of them are looking for houses in low-cost builder floors or in neighboring areas. Due to this, landlords are also seen in the city by reducing the rent and renting out the house.
In fact, the rental prices shown online are just estimates.. Houses are available for rent at very low prices. A Reddit user says that landlords in the city are now reducing the price to find good tenants. Some are leaving Bangalore to reduce their expenses according to their income due to work. They are migrating to other cities.
Many IT employees are migrating to cities like Pune and Hyderabad. In Bangalore, 3 hours a day are wasted due to traffic. If you want to stay nearby, you have to pay a huge rent. This will be very difficult for freshers, says a techie on social media.
According to real estate brokers, rental prices in areas like Koramangala, Whitefield, and HSR Layout have come down by about 3 to 5 percent. In those areas, 2BHK apartments that were once rented for Rs. 40,000 are now available for Rs. 30,000. This seems to be a sign that the rental market is changing steadily. Many say that all the above clearly indicates that the rental climate in Bengaluru is coming down somewhat.
